Crawling Valley Whitefish
Just wondering if anyone's had any luck catching them in there? I personally have never targeted them there and would like to, but I'm just wondering if others had caught them and if they are worth searching for ?

Never caught one but we've seen some monster "floaters"(dead) all summer long when we are out for walleye.

I've never seen the water clear enough to sight fish them, they are there but finding them and targeting may be tricky

Snagged one 2 years ago trolling cranks for walleye in the deepest water I could find one hot afternoon. Never seen one in the winter. They might be tullibee not whitefish. Not sure though.

I've fished there 25 + years never ever seen a white they must be there somewhere

http://www.outdoorsmenforum.ca/attac...1&d=1515780793 for those that don't know the difference...whitefish=overbite, tulibee/cisco =under bite. I used to catch them in Manitoba and they were good smoked until I learned about the parasites, then I just released them. |
