Wifi extender/booster for detached garage.

I’m looking for any input on a wifi extender to put in my Detached garage for under 100$.
My detached garage has poor to medium wifi signal and is terribly slow I am looking for a extender/booster to up that signal and speed. Garage is about 40 feet from where my router is in the house.

I have one that is similar or the same as this, the little netgear one. I do have a detached garage on an acreage and it is a metal wall building with a wood roof. Just started using it last week, works well, a couple things before I can speak with complete yes or no. How does my metal building effect this. I could not even get cell service in there before so +, the distance away from the house, but still works, My router needs upgrading, I have a new one but my MCS net guy needs to adjust my antenna before I upgrade my router. This should be done this week. But with all these I can still listen to the hockey games using wifi on my phone with a Bluetooth speaker in my garage while putting up fur. So not set up perfect in a perfect situation but it works well. From maps my extender placed in the garage from where my router is in my house is approx. 100 ft. I am also sure there are better ones available, I just tried this one as it was inexpensive experiment. I am sure there are more expensive ones that may work better. But I am sure I will be satisfied with it when optimized.
