It’s been years but there was a primitive camping area on the north end of Grist as well as an area to launch a boat and able to drive right to the waters edge just past the old air strip. As well a primitive camping area and launch on SE end on Winifred. Key word for both is primitive. Did an annual trip late spring for a number of years in a row when there were keep limits. No idea a to what trail is like these days.

Can be wet. Good 4x4 and a heavy foot you’ll get in.

It aint that bad getting in. When its dry its a piece of cake. The road to the SE is brutal though. Better off launching at the lodge but you will kick the **** out of your trailer though. I go up stay at the lodge use their boats. Pretty reasonable to go up and fish for a few days
