Fishing around red earth creek.

Im working on the airport up there next week and was wondering if anyone knows whether the loon river is worth wetting a line in? I only have room for my fly gear. Regs say pike walleye and grayling, so im going to bring a heavier line for streaming and a light one for grayling. Any info would be much appreciated.

Try north on 88 and stop at the bridge where the Goodfish plant turnoff is.
I've caught hundreds of pike at this confluence with Loon river with fly gear only.

If you get a chance, head to Trout Lake NE of town. Was there several years ago and hooked up on almost every cast.

Thanks for the replies. Is loon pretty much just pike then? Id like to get some pics of a grayling for the album, for some reason I forget to snap a pic everytime Ive caught one.

Not the greatest grayling area.
