It's a great buck and it does not get all that much better for Ontario! And like I already said, the booing crowd should go there and try to put one down. Or even just see one during a couple of months of scouting, lets start with that.

That's a great deer! Ontario is a tough hunt in most areas due to private land and short gun seasons in alot of areas.you could hunt a lifetime in Ontario and not get a crack at a buck like that.

Dropped it off at taxi today,, he rough scored it at 167, says it should go in the top 30 all time Ontario and probably top 10 muzzleloader. Bases are 6.5" and all three other circumferences are over 5.

Again congrats it’s an awesome buck! An accomplishment to be proud of! I bet most here in Alberta will never get a chance at a buck like that and you did it in a Providemce that’s much harder to find them in. Enjoy your mount when you get it back and smile everytime you look at it.

If you want to see how it really stacks up, check out FROW. They assemble Ontario records and can direct you to an official scorer in your area. I had a deer in there that I took in 1993. Gross was ~161, net 149. While 167 green is great, I doubt its top 30 all time. It's sure to look great on your wall though!!
