First time possibilty

Question about it, it would be my first time going, if i register its 80 dollars (junior age bracket) but that 80 dollars doesnt cover any actual shoots or what??? im confused by the registration form any help would be nice

littlered 11-25-2011 07:09 AM

The 80 gets you the 3 main rounds of 27 targets each. 2 sat, 1 sun. The extra events are in addition too the main rounds. It is a great shoot and is fun for everyone from beginners to experts.

Jameson340 11-26-2011 07:31 AM

I will be there again this year too, good times.

Mother Of All Shoots.

Can any one tell me how the shoot is done again?

- How many targets per round is 25 correct?
- How many targets at each station is 4 correct?
- How many minutes do you have to shoot the 4 targets?

- Its been like 6 years since i been there.

- I guess i shoot at 10:40am Course "A" Station 1.

How many other members are going and wht time do you guys shoot?

Kale_M 02-03-2012 11:54 AM

27 targets,

3 courses

3 targets per station

4 1/2 mins for all 4 shooters to shoot 3 targets (plenty of time!)

Does the money raised form the shoot, go to charity?
Do they have REALLY good prizes, They must for what it costs.
660 people x 85.00 per person is 56,100.00$ just in entry fee's. Thats not even
counting all the other events and entry fees from them. It wouldnt surprise me at all if they bring in over 100.000.00 Just in entry fees.

I think last year they gave out like 12 or more hoyt bows.

this year you can win a Harley or a Ford F150, your pick. IF you make the shot that they set up....heard it is a tough one, lol

TONS of door prizes

Money for the top shooters in the shoot off.

It is a good time even if you don't win anything

take a dozen because if you get into a group that can hit your arrow if it is in the proper place it could end up costing you alot of arrows

Deckacards 02-22-2012 04:43 PM

Never thought of that! good to know !!!!

bearb8er 02-22-2012 05:43 PM

As far as the money that is raised - who cares? No where is anything said about it being a charity shoot. There are 3 different alberta archery clubs that co-op together to put this shoot on and most of the "profit" is used for these clubs year round opperational budgets. There are so many hidden costs to hosting a shoot like this that your not counting. But again WHO CARES. When you buy any other service do you ask them to account to you for what they do with the money?

Good on you for putting on a "charity shoot" this summer but that was how you billed it from the get go. There have been charities that have been supported thru the MOAS but its never been purpose of the shoot.

Yes there are good prizes, both monetary and products. Hoyt has supported this shoot the last 2 yrs and they have been very generous with bows and other "stuff."

Deckacards 02-22-2012 07:28 PM
