Muzzle brake
I have a rifle have a muzzle brake on the end of the barrel, is look like more the bunch of holes, not a muzzle brake, I was aiming the rifle and get ready for hunting this season but some body toll me that I can not take this rifle for hunting because have a muzzle brake, you can hunt in Alberta with muzzle brake or you can not? muzzle brake do not affect the sound of the gun is not a silence device?

🤦*♂️🤦*♂️🤦*♂️🤦*♂️ Of course you can hunt with a muzzle break stop listening to ppl who if they had a clue they would be laying on the ground playing with it

Just don't shoot it in the bush without ear plugs, I've made that mistake once lol.

It does affect the sound of the gun, makes it twice as loud and yes they are legal.

thanks

I’ve hunted with a muzzle brake for the last 8 years. Definitely pack ear plugs for your and your partner. I use finger cots to cover my barrel rather than tape.
|
Perfectly legal, but other people may not want to hunt with you, because of the extreme increase in sound to the side of the shooter, dur to the redirected muzzle blast. Even hearing protection can't provide protection from the concussive force.

I have a friend that had a custom brake put on a 300 ultra it could be the design but i find it quieter then most brakes he had it built and installed at corlanes.

I have a ATRS brake on my savage 10 . I just got this savage scout and the factory muzzle brake is excellent . 18 in in barrel . Had it out this am . recoil feels like a 22-250

Kimber has them on some of there rifles. They are thread ons, so you don’t have to use them if you don’t want to.
