St. Paul policeman charged with child sex crimes

RCMP member charged with child sexual exploitation offences
An RCMP member has been charged with child sexual exploitation offences following an ALERT Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) investigation.

Evan Peacock, a constable with the RCMP and stationed at the St. Paul detachment, was arrested on April 25, 2024. The 33-year-old has been charged with two counts each of possessing, distributing, and accessing child pornography.

Const. Peacock is a three-year member of the RCMP and has been suspended with pay.

ALERT’s investigation began in November 2023 when the suspect allegedly uploaded two videos depicting child sexual exploitation to Snapchat. ALERT was notified via the RCMP’s National Child Exploitation Crime Center.

The identity of the suspect was only learned in late April 2024 and ICE investigators acted expeditiously to make an arrest.

Evidence was seized from the suspect’s St. Paul, Alta. home following a search warrant operation. A forensic investigation will be conducted on the devices seized by police. The ICE Unit investigation remains ongoing.

While the investigation and charges are related to online offences, the nature of the suspect’s employment placed him in a position of trust and authority. ICE is encouraging anyone with information about this case to come forward and contact police. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact local police or Crime Stoppers (1-800-222-TIPS).

Peacock was released from custody on a number of court-imposed conditions, to await his next scheduled court appearance on May 23, 2024 in St. Paul, Alta.

The province’s of Director of Law Enforcement was notified.

ALERT was established and is funded by the Alberta Government and is a compilation of the province’s most sophisticated law enforcement resources committed to tackling serious and organized crime.

Paid suspension of course.

I’d make an example out of him. I’d knock his nuts out quicker than I can castrate a tom cat.

If he is guilty , he should be suspended, with a rope.

"the nature of the suspect’s employment placed him in a position of trust and authority".

This is why this case is so appalling. ALL convicted pedos deserve the worst punishment available by law.

If you are the victim of police. This is what happens because they have all the power. You fear it will happen again and you will not be believed and nobody cares or even wants to know about it.
You also fear the bad guys. If the last time you were beat up and you called the police for help and then they locked you up and ransacked your house and tried to steal your completely legal guns then went to all your neighbor's houses or anybody you are friends with looking for more of your guns and threatening them and destroying your reputation well then what do you do the next time someone attacks you in your house? Call police again?
Defend yourself? Its a lose /lose in either situation.
You feel like anyone can do whatever they want to you at anytime and there is nothing you can do that will not make it worse. You would literally chose to burn your house to the ground with you in it before you would call 911 for help

In any event atleast this guy in st. Paul was charged even if it was with pay. WORST thing the could have done is covered it up or quietly got the RCMP officer to resign because this kind of stuff makes everything way,way worse..

Twenty Five years in general prison population with no special protection. The homies would learn him good. He would not make to the end of his sentence, and if he did they would all be years of constant fear.

Good deal for the taxpayers.

If this guy is guilty he deserves to be castrated with the lid off of a tin can but until he has his day in court, the RCMP can't fire or suspend him without pay.

Comparing the act of an individual officer to what happened in the High River gun grab is silly.

We should commend the RCMP for outing this guy and making his name public.

If Evan Peacock guilty, let's hope for a quick conviction and severe punishment.

And now a principal in Calgary. Funny how sports are a big tell. Cops & teachers just the worst azz-hat teams to play beer league against. True dat....:thinking-006:
