Just wondering if any one was fishing the lake and are catching anything

We caught a ton of tigers.

Little fellas? Anything of size? We were planning a trip down there a while ago, I've never been there.

We were there for the fishing derby. Caught close to fifty, none of any size. They’re very aggressive, so it’s fun nonetheless. For some reason it was nearly impossible to catch anything else. I caught a 5lb rainbow last September. I’m pretty familiar with the lake; happy to answer any questions you may have!

Heading there in a couple weeks. Were they biting on spoons, spinners, crankbaits, pickerel rigs, flyfishing? I plan on trolling and possibly flyfishing. Heard they stocked the pond with 80,000 trout. Unless that was a typo lol

They stock it with over 100,000 trout each year; browns, brookies, rainbows and more recently, tigers.

Lots of fish in there, they'll take just about anything. Trolling, I find I'm most successful with small Lennies and F5 Rapalas (or any small crank).

Fishing was slow on Saturday. We caught 7 fish. Two small rainbows, a couple 14 inch browns and three tigers, one of which was the largest I've seen yet. Happy to see the tigers growing. Anecdotal, but I can't say I saw anyone catch a fish the entire time I was there; be it from shore or on a boat.

Yes it definitely slow, for me anyway. Saturday was kind of a windy day out there so didn't put a huge effort to fish. But even bait fishing was slow.

Any tips or ideas out there?

Wait for the ice, lol. Hard to miss them at that time. Do you have a boat?

Exactly, ice fishing is always good.

Was using a float tube the last bit, earlier in the season it was ok but the last couple of trips I pretty much got shut out.

Probably try a few more times before ice up to see if things change.

The fishing has been strange there this year. During the tournament in June, the tigers were biting like crazy. We caught dozens. Didn't see that last week.

Slip bobber and bait, Rapala F5 and No. 7 Lennies are pretty much all I use.

Fished Blood today. 14in of ice, although I heard of someone on the lake who had 8in.

Fishing was decent, caught a pile of tigers, a nice brown and a few rainbows.

The limits are the ones you posted. Each angler is able to harvest three fish, only one of which may be a brook, brown or tiger (must also be over 35cm). As I was fishing with a partner (my dad), he harvested a brown and a rainbow, and I harvested a tiger and a rainbow (other rainbow didn’t make the cut for a photo).

Excellent. Have the tigers grown significantly since stocking? Are they eating the carp?

Tigers are definitely growing. Caught one that was about 16 inches and fat. It had some carp in its stomach. They’re sure aggressive, we catch a ton!

It’s a great little lake. Almost impossible to get skunked. It’s the place to go if you want to catch a tiger.

use a Williams warbler tipped with a minnow if you want to smash big ones
