Best Beer
Now this is great beer. Tried it at Oktoberfest in Leavenworth.
I also had it in Bavaria. http://www.merchantduvin.com/brew-ay...arian-pils.php |
Looks like a gooder! My son brought a couple litres of this back from Munich when he was there a couple years ago, and I dearly like to track some down in Alberta. My favorite beer!

I enjoy the Paulaner Octoberfest beer. I think i have a half dozen of those beer mugs already. |
I heard about this beer made at the westvleteren abbey while in Belgium and drove a couple hours to get to the abbey...it was closed. Back in England I phoned every Monday (?) to try and reserve a case, I called hundreds of times, every Monday for months and couldn't get through. Finally I drove back to the abbey, through France so I could eat and drink a little on the way and they were open.
The abbey has a restaurant where they serve home made Hanm, home made cheese, on homemade bread with their beer. One of the finest meals I've ever had, simple but perfection in every item. At 12% I could only have one beer and still be able to drive but I could have had more....many more. When you go to the restaurant you can buy a six pack of beer, my wife and I each got one of course and treated each bottle like treasure. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westvleteren_Brewery |

In the words of my buddy Steve, the best beer is anything that’s free!

I've taken a liking to Innis & Gunn and I'm sure I heard about it from the likes of a few of the louts and lushes here on the forum.

In 1992 I worked in a little village called Assling, about 30km south of Munich. It was a fabrication shop that put custom orders on truck beds.
There was a beer machine in the factory, and the foreman always had a beer in his hand. I don't know if it travels well but Helles was my go to beer. Honourable mention has to go to Kronenburg 1664 which does travel. |
ArrowHead breweries in Invermere has some wonderful brews.

The best beer is the first one you have after a hard days work in the hot sun. Usually a Lucky.....

The beer in Germany truly is incredible. So much variety and all so delicious. Some of them Germans can drink pretty good, too. Luckily my days of slamming cases of Old Mil with the boys every weekend came in handy.

Canadian Distributor
Finally found a distributor. Any liquor store can order from these importers.
They don't carry the Pilsner yet but I imagine the Oktoberfest is close. They bring it in from Seattle. http://bci-network.com/ayinger-brewery/ |
Wild rose IPA is really hard to beat too

Anyway, lucked out and got a flat of the Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier ordered!:sHa_shakeshout: Should be here next week. Fine, fine beer...... |
I don't drink beer so I can't say what's the best beer but I know why American beer isn't desireable. Their beer is put through a special filtration system. The filtration system is called a horse. :sHa_shakeshout:

Steinlager from New Zealand is very good!

I've been buying Grizzly Paw Rutting Elk Red alot this year. I guess that's my favorite now.
Never been too picky with beer, typically buy Kokanee or Keiths. |

You may have been among those talking about it, but I recall there were a few who noted they were fans of I&G. I also like the smell of white oak in the woodshop so maybe there's a tie-in there?:thinking-006: |
Stanley Park Windstorm. I love the hint of pine flavour, what can I say. Canadian beer is the best.

Depends on my mood.
My top three most drank beers.
Mickeys. Bud light platinum. Grizzly paw lemon shandy. I'm a light weight. |
