sdeviation 03-05-2009 07:51 AM

very nice ,,,what did it take to change the bolt...?>
was it a drop in or a smith thing to do ?
whos`s base and rings they look great ...

LuckySeven 03-05-2009 11:49 AM

I guess I should have posted all the goodies....:ashamed:
Remington Sendero, action blueprinted, trued then steel bedded with Devcon 10110, Superior Shooting Systems Bolt (yes bolt has to be fitted to action by smith), Near Mfg for Rings and 10 MOA base(These are phenomenal and I'm sure contibute to the accuracy of this rifle), Leupold VX-L 4.5-14X56 with Mark IV turrets (Korth group, Leupold repair center in Okotoks).
This rifle shot very well when it was stock, and now is absolutely phenomenal !!! Three rounds into 3/4" at 400yds is it's best so far !! Mind you conditions were ideal, no wind at all. Shooting Berger 168VLDs (moly), 92.5gr Retumbo, CCI LR Mag = 3250 fps.

holy wow. niiice!
...the 4 legged bipod (quad-pod) system is a new and novel approach...is that maple or oak?
adjus'table' from 12" to 29", plus it doubles as a chair:lol:
seriously though thats a sweet ride!
well done

LuckySeven 03-06-2009 01:31 AM

Yes the Quad Pod ( Maple ) is almost mandatory for this little Oinker !!!
Definitely not something one would want to pack all day......just have to be set up on the top somewhere with the Geovid, Kestral and some drop charts for first light !!! :rolleye2:
