Pigeon lake is it green

Just wondering if the lake has that 2 inches of green slime flooting on top again !
That stuff just does not like to come off the boat at the car wash .

Pigeon isn't as bad as previous years, at least right now. A couple weeks ago, it seemed there was a bit more, but I was there twice this week, and the water actually seems fairly decent (relatively speaking). The algae is still present, and with the warm sunny weather, it may get worse fast, but relative to what it was last year, it doesn't seem as bad. Crystal Springs was slightly worse than the provincial park (Tuesday at Crystal, Thursday at Prov. P.), but that may have had more to do with prevailing winds. Hope this helps; the fish seem more healthy this year, too!

My favorite female fishing friend (wife) and I are going this afternoon to pigeon. I like to avoid crowds when I go fishing so we were not looking at going to the provincial park. I know the angling is most often hot there but where else is a good bet to get a few walleye with out a crowd of boats. I have relatives in Popular Bay and there is a public access there we can take our canoe into. Maybe we will give that a go and see if we can locate some fish.

On my way home yesterday wanted to check the water conditions of Pigeon as I want to get out agian mid week here if not next weekend. Water was very clear but seemed a bit low.As most folks know I fish pigeon at least once a week never seen the water as low as it was yesterday evening saturday. But the wate4r conditions were great, I was glad to see no 2 inch green mat of blue green algae unlike last year . Its something seadooers , boatersa fishermen, swimmers have to be careful of as it can make a person very sick.

was out there fishing and wakeboarding yesterday (also on thursday), mostly out by mission and one of the mid lake humps; water clarity was very good for pigeon - on thursday we could see bottom in 10 FOW and were sight casting to fish. drank a lot of water while wakeboarding and havn't got sick yet either :)

cheers
