WMU 224 Bull Moose
 

Just curious if anyone on here is in this WMU and has land with Moose on it. I am having some trouble finding one for my buddy that has a Draw this year here. He had some on the Land that he hunts but they have vanished!!! Don't really want to waste a 4 year tag so any help would be appreciated.

224 moose are gone.
 

I've hunted 224 most of my adult life and there's just not many moose left. It's been over hunted for moose for years.
If you look at the tag numbers they give out its crazy. They have pretty much wiped them out.
There are still moose but you have to hunt hard and be on the same property as the moose on that particular day.
I know of three moose out of 224 this year so far very tough going.

We did see many on the Cams this fall during Archery Season. Had 3 Bulls sparring on 1 Camera which was cool to see. Have seen many here in my back yard on my acreage as well this year ( More then in the past years). In my travels I have seen Moose but on Land that people will not allow permission. Hopefully for him he will have the Moose move back onto the land he has access to and will seal the deal. Hopefully you are having a good season and everyone else as well.
