summer burbot

does anybody fish for burbot in the summer at gull lake? If they do is it as good as the winter?

Well of course it isn't, but yes, I do. You fish for them similarly to walleye. Get out into the deep water, drop a jighead tipped with a minnow down to the bottom and wait. If you don't have a boat don't waste your time. This can also be done at Sylvan, Pine, Buffalo, and of course Gull.

So it seems you talk alot about burbot at gull and you are big on burbot apparently, so have you even gone yet or caught any. And no fishing for burbot during summer usually isnt nearly as good as during winter unless you have a honey hole.

I havnt been out in a while to gull but im thinking they must preten near be spawning now. the action realy heats up for them when there spawining head over to wilsons beach go south about half a mile theres a point there keep going a little find 10 feet of water put on a jigging spoon or minnow& jig bounce em off bottom you should hammer em all day long. at least most years this time of year is prime for them ugly snakes.
By the way isnt the quote on the botom of you profile backwards there burbot? lol
