Jackfish Lake is 8 inches with 3 inches snow as of this morning

papirus 12-04-2011 10:46 PM

ATTENTION

pls check google sattellite map, make sure lake u going to drill dosent have water stream going in or out from the lake, if there is one stay away from stream atleast 100 feet...

water streams create air bubbles and warmer water, this can cause thin surface or canal under the ice...

always bring ICE PICK...

Tyangelo 12-04-2011 11:26 PM

Wizard has 5" of good ice, 3" of white ice.

Jim Nelson pond has about the same. Just remember there is an aerator on the south side.

I don't know what went on, but for those on the forum who know me personally...I definitely have a sense of humor, warped though it may be.

Doesn't change the fact that some folks don't know when to quit...too much of the same crap from the same people all the time gets old.

By the way, I haven't read the news this morning yet...would you be a sport and check it for me and let me know if there's anything interesting going on in the world? :sHa_sarcasticlol:

Seriously though, what'd I miss in this thread? :o

I have not been out yet, but do take caution out there. Working 2 hrs north of slave and it was +6 at midnight and alot of rain and high winds around 2 to 3:30 am. Think the coldest it got through the night was +4

fishingmaster2097 12-06-2011 06:40 AM

What about PCR, I wanna try and go there this weekend so....

Be a long time for Travers yet. There is ice around the LBPP boat launch, doesnt look healthy though. The majority, like 90 to 99% of the main lake is wide open, can launch a boat at the east end if you want.

Speckle55 12-06-2011 09:58 AM

+8 inches up at Hinton area:)

maverick_8teen 12-06-2011 10:10 AM

anyone been to Badger Lake yet? Looking to go between x-mas and new year. got a week off work then and want to take a couple days to fish? Wondering what the ice is like as of now with the weather changes here in CGY. Is it as warm out there?
