Hunting film tour?

The film is playing tonight in GP at the GP live theatre, just a reminder. Has anyone been previously, is it worth going, how about with the whole family?

NBFK 01-24-2016 05:34 PM

It's a collaboration of short films. Most of which you have probably seen if you follow the Sitka films and so forth. But definitely a family affair. Good showing and cheap entertainment for a couple of hours.

Went last year - was very good. Much better than 95% of what's on Wild TV.

Too late to grab a ticket from Wholesale I'm afraid. If they are selling tickets at the door, go for it. Otherwise the online ticket is $18 USD, plus service charges, so figure on $24+.

Our Rod & Gun Club will be hosting this event in Elkford on Saturday Feb 13. Looking forward to this.

Any word on the hunting film tour for 2018? Haven't seen anything yet.

I went last year and thought it was awesome hoping to hear it is still on for this year

The HFT will be in Lethbridge at the movie mill on February 9th at 7:00 pm. You can get tix online or at Lane Archery. Great evening of quality hunting films and some giveaways. Also raising money for local conservation groups.

HFT coming to Edmonton!

Hey guys and girls! I saw this thread on here and would like to let you guys know that the Hunting Film Tour will be stopping in Edmonton on March 21, 2018. I am working through all the details right now and in the process of planning things out for a fun night for all! Got some great door prizes for the night and looking forward to meeting up with all of you. It will be held at the Garneau Theater again and tickets should be available for purchase starting sometime in February. Mark it on your calendars!

From what I've heard recently on an Instagram conversation they are currently working on Calgary dates. Hopefully we hear something this week.

Interview tonight

Guys, if you're interested we're interviewing the guy who runs the tour for Canada. Recording tonight, released for download in a day or two.
He's got a short film in it this year, turkey hunting.

They've had some challenges due to the loss of their title sponsor (Wholesale Sports), but managed to still get some venues lined up.
Naoto's a professional wildlife photographer, fly fishing guide, bear guide, and bow hunter, so we had a great time hearing some of his stories.

Really interesting individual.

We also talked about how to host your own venue, if anyone's interested in that.

episode will be up today or tomorrow.

We took in the Calgary show. It was great as usual.
The quality of the short films is high, and they get me all fired up for the upcoming season!
Some really good door prizes too, not that I won any, but a friend won a scope last year.
There's a guy in two of the films named Adam Foss, turns out he's Canadian. Anyhow, Mike knows a guy who he knows really well, and so we'll be doing an episode with him. He's the youngest guy to get the North American Sheep grand slam.

If you get a chance, the HFT is a good night out.

Cheers.

Adam was born and raised in Cochrane and grew up hunting sheep with his dad and brother in K-country. The company he works for is Seacat creative and they do a ton of the Yeti, sitka, etc short films which are all unreal.

I'd say the two movies he's in were the best productions. Just epic scenery.

Got tickets to the show in Edmonton pretty excited.
