Bows look good. Like the new colour options.

At $2000 I’m going to have to be sneeky getting this one past the wife.
|
Is this the 1st Hoyt without static yokes? If so, that’s going to be an issue for some folks.

Floating in theory adjust on its own. Static yokes allow you to add or remove twists to obtain proper paper, bare shaft, and broad head tuning. If you can’t manipulate the yokes then often your only option is to shim the cams.

Yoke manipulation didn’t just address cam lean, it also evened out pre-load on split limb bows such as Hoyt and Bowtech.
|
I guess they put a floating yoke on the bottom and left the static yokes up top; great choice in my opinion
|
They look pretty cool, I will have to test shoot one.

I can't wait to try them. Accurate Archery should have them early November according to Lawrence. I think he said he had ordered a dozen. I think 8 carbons and 4 aluminium models mixed and matched. Should be sweet!
There is some neat technology there that addresses a few longer standing issues and bumps in the road when it comes to tuning. I think I'm going to like it! Norm |

The Hyperforce has definitely peaked my interest not sure the RX1 will be in my price range.
|
These look to perform the same as the carbon element/matrix rkt bows they sold in 2012.
|
I held off on the Carbon Defiant, but I suspect the RX-1 may end up being the new bow for me.....if it handles anything near as nice, or better than the Defiant. Will be hard to put the CRX 32 away, but a guy has to do what he has to do....

RX-1 Ultra
As someone with a 31.5" draw length I'm really excited about the Ultra. I've been really limited on bow options with over 30" draws and 35" ATA. Glad to see Hoyt has addressed this. Time to dip into that 'slush' fund! :sHa_shakeshout:

My hunting bow is a CDT with #2 DFX Turbo cams and it shoots and tunes well also. Just saying.... Norm |
I never owned the Defiant, so I can not speak personally of the cam "problem." I know that is was a big deal for a lot of owners on Archery Talk. And when Hoyt came out the next year with 2.1 cam and no 1.1 or 3.1 cams, it didn't look good. Hoyt knew there was an issue with the #2 cam and should have offered the 2.1 upgrade for free.
But I am sure Hoyt has learned from the experience and the 2018 line up looks really impressive. PSE also has an impressive new bow and it will be interesting to see what Mathews and Bowtech release. |
