Fishing at Mariana Lake hwy 63

I'm working up at Marianna lake on hwy 63 to ft mac and I was wondering if anybody knew anything about this lake? I was here last year and caught lots of fish almost every night.... I went around the whole lake the other day and not even a sniff? Does anybody know if it was winter killed or what the deal is? Also, are there any other good fishing spots around here? It's gonna make for a pretty boring month if I can't go catch fish at night?

Thanks,
Matt

Crow lake 10 mins or less south had pike in it 10yrs ago. Its a little hike in but it's worth a shot to try it. Get back to me if it turns out good please.

Crow Lake is dead. I lived up there for over thirty years and used that lakeshore to call moose. Trust me. No fish.

i grew up fishing House River for grayling. Great grayling fishery. Not much else between Mariana and Wandering River however.

Smallish Pike

Just fishing at the second turnoff last Monday, 5 hookups with small pike right around the minimum size (63 cm) pretty marginal on bites until 8:30ish, all in the weed fringe by the shore too. Any idea how deep that lake is there. I could swear I wasn't dropping more than 6 - 10 ft to the bottom on a 30 yd cast. Cheers
