Got Beaver?
Got beaver? Post them up!
After spending the month of April chasing muskrats, I tried my hand at trapping a few problem beaver for several local landowners. I started out shooting a few at sunset when I was still trapping rats but once I pulled my float sets, I set out a few 330's. Things started slow for me but with the advice/guidance from "The Spruce" and a couple other experienced Trappers, I started to have some success. I was thrilled to shoot a big 56 pound beaver, which sunk and I had to recover the next day when it floated back up, but it didn't take me long to better that weight in one of my 330 sets. Here's a picture of a few beaver that I recently caught including a 59 pound monster, my biggest so far. http://i743.photobucket.com/albums/x...psn8bwmx9e.jpg |

Here is a big female I caught. Did not weight it but it measured 44 inches long. She was a pinto with a white belly and some pink on her feet.
