Caught in Mud lake on Quadra island, B.C.

Salmon smolt?

I agree looks like a Salmon smolt of some sort? Is there a stream or river that empties into the ocean from that lake?

Sockeye (Kokanee). Look at the size of the pupil in the eye???

Baby sockeye. Picture isn't the greatest makes it look kinda herring or mackerel lIke because you can't see the nose.

Salmon smolt is what I thought. May have been a small stream connected to this lake, although we didn't see one. Only other fish caught here were coastal cutthroat.

I thought Dog Salmon have the large pupil?
