Antelope seasons change sometime's. I believe archery will open on the 7th this year, but want to be sure for booking holidays etc. The regs are usually out before licenses are available to purchase.

The updated Wildlife Regulations were posted yesterday.
The 2020/21 season dates are at the bottom, Table 1A-F, 4-6. https://www.canlii.org/en/ab/laws/re...-143-1997.html |

The synopsis barely covers the hunting regulations, and NOT a legal description of the laws. The majority of the hunting rules are in the Wildlife Act and Wildlife Regulations. Wildlife Regulations above. Wildlife Act here https://www.canlii.org/en/ab/laws/st...set=0#document |
Good to know,.
I like seeing everything in black and white. Also a standout That This document {Unlike the Guide to Hunting regulations booklet} is the lack of a disclaimer at the end that its not the official document and as such may not be correct or contain all information. |

for the love of god people. The regulations booklet is never and has never been out in july. Generally it comes out mid august. Why are people so antsy about it? Season dates and information has already came out.
|
Last year the regs came online and probably the same for hard copy on July 25, check the sticky, should be soon.
|
New regs are up
|
And what do ya know.... the antelope archery season dates are different than the draw booklet.....

Actually, not quite true. I was talking to Travis Ripley (AEP Executive Director Fish and Wildlife Policy Branch) and in the last bit of this Alberta Legislature session, 43 amendments to the Wildlife Act were passed. They did not want to issue a book and then update it, so the new book only just went to the printers. Vic |
Not seeing bird limits?

The Wildlife Act has not been amended since Feb. 20, 2018. Using Canlii, you can view old versions of legislation, and compare different versions. This is the Wildlife Regulation comparison for the 12/12/2019 and the 7/28/2020 versions. https://www.canlii.org/webdiff/diff....-143-1997.html |
Big changes to OHV useage and now allowing dogs to accompany a hunter.
Only the 400’s are now affected the by OHV ban before noon, and it’s no longer illegal to have the pup in the truck or on the quad with you, as long as you aren’t using it to hunt with. |
