Norvice fine point jaws

Wondering if anyone has invested in the Norvice fine point jaws for their vice and if they would care to offer their opinion. I am looking for a set around town. So far I’ve found a few places that sell them but they are fairly pricey at 170$. I also have a Renzetti Traveller but I haven’t been able to compare the sizes they can accommodate. I like to tie up to 24s and real tempted to tie smaller - saw some 30’s at Fish Tales last week that were challenging me to a fight.

I’m also pretty new to this online community. So i’d like to offer a firm handshake and a howdy from Calgary.

Cheers!

I have been using the Fine point jaws for about 5 years now. Really nice to tie on but don't expect full speed spin rotation with them as they aren't balanced like the standard head supplied. I can certainly tie down to 20 on them. Give me a shout if you have other questions.

Thank you. That’s helpful. I think I might give them a try. Were the vices hard to swap out?

Easy to add a counterbalance so that the fine point jaws will spin.https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1959/...75915c0e_h.jpg

I had no problem holding a size 26 in the fine point jaws.

I have had my Norvise for 5 yrs.I use the fpt jaws for tying on scud hooks[chironomids].Not much fast spinning action on those flies..
Badger;;I you don't mind me asking ,you have a spring material clip & a elastic band .What's the elastic for..??

The rubber band replaced the O-ring that wore out.
