Archery In Athabasca

Hey everyone,

I'm moving up to Athabasca at the end of the month. I've done some googling, but it doesn't look like there is an archery club in town. Where do you folks in the area go to shoot? Or is it just a matter of hauling out the target and finding a secluded spot out of town to shoot?

If you have a spot and want to make a friend, I'd love to get out shooting with you!

Lac La Biche has a great club, and Northern Lights Archery is in Athabasca I believe.

When I was in the club, we met and shot in the colinton hall once a week. I am unsure if it is still going. I haven't been a member for probably 12 years of so.

Colton runs northern lights, but I'm not sure if he has a range or not. I believe he mostly sells and services bows. He is a good guy, you could start with a call to him.

I'm a member at the gun range there, and there is a space for archery at the rifle range. I think it's just a rope that you hang your target from with a haybale backstop.

I honestly haven't paid too much attention to it, I'm more there for rifle shooting.

Not sure about a club but northern lights is just east of town and he's got a 3D range set up out there. Not sure what the deal is for shooting there though. Might be worth a shout. Sorry can't be of more help.
