Nasty Wasp!!!

We were in the garden today and I reached over to pick up what I thought was a big grasshopper on the bottom of a leaf, as Hazel was collecting them... Glad I noticed the yellow antenae on it before i grabbed him,:scared: because here is the bug.....

These things act like they the meanest insect around! They are remarkably aggressive and they do look pretty nasty for a harmless insect.
I did some research online a few years ago and found out they were harmless. I did not bother to tell the other guys at work though! |
Harmless or not, they look like nasty suckers!

My brother to me while in Nara (Japan) "Hey sister, come here quick!!" So I go over to see what he is looking at. "See that giant wasp??" I can hear it buzzing as it is flying around, hard to miss since it is so big. "They kill about 30 people a year over here".... thanks brother, always keeping me in mind.
