Accu trigger

Question. Have the savage axis. Was curious can you get a accu trigger from savage direct? Or anyone know where you can pick one up?

i dont know of anywhere to get the savage accutrigger as an aftermarket. you would be better off to just buy a rifle bassix trigger. i have one on my axis and its great.

Accutrigger does not fit in an Axis.

Should'a asked me a couple years back. As soon as I installed my rifle-basix, that accutrigger made a beeline for the garbage can.

Highly recommend a rifle-basix for a Savage instead of the accutrigger. BUT make sure the sear is in good condition first (i.e. not binding or anything). And don't try to bend or pry it for any reason any amount, they are brittle like glass. Savage doesn't sell sears separately (to retail at least) and the trigger doesn't come with one.

Not sure how the axis is set up but when reinstalling the trigger mechanism, springs can pop away from you real quick and fly into the next township. Wear safety glasses and maybe work under some clear poly vapour-barrier.

It depends on the model nowdays. They never used to fit but now savage came out with the axis2 whick has a factory accutrigger.

If you going to the expense of replacing the trigger, go to a better grade trigger, like the Rifle Basix unit.

Basix trigger!

We have 4 of those Savage rifles and all sport an after market Basix trigger and they are great.

What would be the cost of this Basix trigger? Where?? I have a 223 axis that badly needs one.

Following this as well
I just bought a savage axis stainless model .243 and would love to change the trigger as well

You both should contact gitrdun, he'll help both of you with the trigger and the installation if need be, I've had him do work on a couple of my rifles, stand up guy and does great work.

So, the SAV-2 is for all Savages except the ones with the bolt release by the trigger-guard.

Which is what the SAV-1 is for, any Savage with a trigger-guard bolt-release ?

Price fore the SAV-1 ?
