Parker on point x2 http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/w...y/PA240380.jpg http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/w...y/PA240377.jpg This shotgun was donated to the Stollery Children's Hospital PIF thread by CatntheHat; a 12 guage PH grade Parker with Twist barrels made in 1907. (Thanks Cat! I love it!) http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/w...y/PA240372.jpg Two Parkers, two pheasants, and a Hun. http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/w...y/PA240386.jpg Me and the mutt. http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/w...y/PA240384.jpg |

Looks like it went to a fine owner!:)
great pics, always love to see Parker in action!!:sHa_shakeshout: What are you using for loads? Cat |
Trying a video:
http://youtu.be/23fmhBBuhtQ Parker on point. He pointed this rooster for 2 minutes while I hiked down to where he was, got the camera out, etc. I had a limit already so I thought I would just film it. Not sure if you can hear it on the video, but the bird started to run as I walked behind the dog. |

Oh well. |
70 grains of FFG will certainly do the job!!
Brass or paper? I was using 90 grains of FFG and 1 1/4oz.the past week, not much recoil, but good patterns and velocity. Cat |
Great pics and Always great to watch a dog in action thanks for sharing

Ummm... though shall not covet, man that is a nice looking shotgun!!

I have a 16 guage 2 1/2" built on the same frame, but with Trojan steel barrels. They make a beautiful set! I will try and take a photo of them together. |
Banjo and Jet on Monday night. Jet held the point for a long time, the bird was in a small coulee below me. I had just started to walk down towards jet when the bird flew....he headed down the coulee and I was able to fold him with e 20 sxs.
Jet made a great retrieve down the coulee through a line of bushes and a fence and then back me, banjo then had his turn to cary the rooster around for a bit and then pose for a picture. let's hope tonight brings us some more!! http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...01231669_n.jpg |
Nice Clash!

thanks man, jet is coming along well...some days..lol. some days he just wants to run and play in the bushes etc. yesterday we were out, really really windy but he worked hard and put up 3 hens and one rooster...but the rooster flew the wrong way and I missed....dirty looks from my dogs when that happens. lol
that shotty you have is beautiful. wow. |
[QUOTE=Pudelpointer;1136595]AA hulls (I know, I am ashamed. But hey, that's what I got).
QUOTE] Fuzzy wads or are they loaded with AA wads? I like to use fuzzy wads when I load black, but I have used the plastic wads as well - lots of plastic build up!!:budo: Cat |

Great pics. Thanks for posting.

Great pics!!! Really nice to see dogs in action

awesome pics!! I gotta remember to take my camera along!

Boy Black Powder fowling piece!
Pudelpointer, that gun was made about the same time as the dog Pudelpointer was developed!
That is quite a picture! It would be cool to see the smoke after the shot. I can't (Ginnie can't) get the roosters to stop unless they are cornered. I've lost a few lbs. following her around. I've seen 2 hens at Bigalow, which is hunted hard, so I take it the population is recovering. |

Have you met many hunters at Bigelow that have shot roosters? Cat |
Some awesome photos Ian.
Thanks for sharing. |

Hey pudelpointer!
Just to let you know that we're bustin' 'em here in SK, too. Parker looks like he's really come along since I last saw him as a pup in MT. Keep on having fun chasin' boids! Attached some pics from some of my hunts...(if I uploaded them right...) |
Good looking pics everyone!!!
What kennel is "Parker" the Pudelpointer from? If it weren't for Griffs I'd own a Pudelpointer in a second! The ugly dogs never get any love. They sure can get the job done on birds though. I'll add some pics on this thread. |
