Bow River - what section to fish this weekend?

Hi,

I am planning on floating the bow river this weekend, what section would be best to fish? Is the water more clear in certain sections? Also if you could recommend any flies it would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I'd focus on any areas with thigh-high eddies.

For flies I'd do strike indicator, 2-3 feet, sinker, 1 foot, some kind of streamer, then about 1.5-2 feet of light mono to a nymph.

Dude. He is right on the money. Indicator -> 1m leader->heavy fly/streamer or splitshot -> 40cm tippet -> nymph -> 40cm tippet -> nymph

The only thing he did not include is to bring tissues to dry your tears when you lose the entire rig at an approximate cost of $10

Fixed it for ya^^ 😂🤣

If I wanted to "flyfish" with a bobber I'd just use a spinning rod,lol 😝
.....or better yet,a nice centre pin outfit.

Speaking of,I've always been curious as to why center pin rigs aren't more popular on the Bow given that 80% or more of anglers are using some kind of indi-rig most days....I'm certain I could count the amount of centrepinners I've seen on the Bow in 7 years living here without taking my socks off.If yer gonna fish with bobbers,what not use the proper tool for the job?
