Ross Lake?

We are going to be camping at Ross Lake (Whitney Lakes) this weekend. What is the fishing like up that way? Are there any "must visit" spots I should check out? What have you been using for successful catching?

Thanks for the help!

i was there two weeks ago did not catch anything spectacular, just a few pike was on the east side of it casting from the shore. seen a lot of perch while swimming at the beach tho! i had real good luck a few weeks ago south of ross lake at lea park where the vermilion river meets the north sask a few walleye and a couple pike from there!

Laurier isn't as good as it used to be, http://srd.alberta.ca/FishWildlife/FisheriesManagement/FallWalleyeIndexNetting/IndexNetSurveyReports/documents/LaurierLake-FallWalleyeIndexNetting-2010.pdf

The river is your best bet, most of the lakes in that area have lost a lot of their water. There are other lakes within in driving distance, but haven't found one that is great fishing.

West of elk point across the road from stoney is lac saint cyr its probably the closest lake to you that has great fishing. The water is crystal clear and the pike are plenty. One of my favorite spots
