Too Dry, Too much smoke, No Bears; No Elk sightings around.

Been out down south on Hwy 22 area and its been pretty smokey and no access do to dry conditios. I never seen and bears or elk or moose.... just a **** load of dam cattle!. I was chatting with a couple while out yesterday and they never seen anything and the F&W also have not sighted anything to. Where have the wildlife gone to? Saskatchewan! Or making there way up north... i seen 3 herds of elk 3 weeks ago now there is none around.... is it possible hunting season may be on hold for some WMU zones due to dry and smokey conditions.

They're around.....too hot during the day so staying in shade near water sources.

I've been seeing elk and moose have not seen a deer since Thursday though that weirds me out. So if no access to private go to crown bam easy

You do realize without all the "dam cattle" there would be a lot less wildlife.

That comment will get you access to the ranch lands in the South country.

Bin cruisin the back roads, I bin seein lots of critters.

Spent 4 days in WMU 400. Open hillsides so dry and crispy not much reason to look for feed in the open. A fair bit of lush green grass in the trees for the most part.

And a good sighn of messed up trees... one was a pine and the other was a spurce.... tjat bark was just peeled off on one side.
