Vudoo Rifles
Is anyone else using a Vudoo rifle? I picked mine up yesterday, and am hoping to shoot it in the next day or two. I purchased the Vudoo barreled action, a Grayboe Terrain stock, and the Trigger Tech Diamond trigger. I mounted the Zeiss HD-5 5-25x50 , and did a quick bore sight, and I am hoping to be able to zero at 50 yards and farther with the 30 minute rail. The trigger is set at 2lbs according to my gauge, but it feels lighter.

Why is the magazine so bulky for a 22lr?

I’m sure that made some lefty’s day. Yikes.

Going to need to sell a lot of gopher pelts to justify that bad boy:). Interesting rig.

Nice looking rig. That is some serious coin for a gopher gun, hope it lives up to its cost. Really looking forward to hearing how it shoots on targets and behaves in the gopher patch.

Scope
Why Such high magnification for a 22 or was it just the only scope you had laying around?

Despite the range being closed, and 30-40km gusts, I drove out to a friends place to shoot the Vudoo. A cardboard box with a couple of rocks to hold it in place in the wind, and my rest and bags on a trailer top, and the target at 50 yards. Using SK Standard Plus, I zero'd the scope, and fired these two groups. They measure .205", and.280", so average under 1/4". I was very pleased given the shooting conditions.

Range open today, but still very windy. Windy or not I shot at 50m, tested RWS and retested SK Standard Plus. It definitely prefers the SK Standard plus, although the RWS still shoots in the mid .3s at 50 m. Best group with the SK was .210" but one flier opened the other group to .340"
https://scontent.fyxd2-1.fna.fbcdn.n...40&oe=5EE47E56 It was too windy, but I managed to get one 100m group under 1" https://scontent.fyxd2-1.fna.fbcdn.n...ab&oe=5EE22A49 |

I got a 360 in January. Put it in a KRG X-ray chassis with an Athlon Cronus on top.
Haven’t had a good day to really wring it out yet. Shot it a bit in the cold. |
Great article on Accurate Shooter [June 10-2019] of a 9 year old girl making hits at 1000 yds with her dads Vudoo. Night force 7 x 35 x 56 scope with a TARAC prism system.

I wonder how many thousands of rounds they sent before they got some hits.
Thats about 270 feet of bullet drop and 32' of wind correction in a 10 mph wind. |

Many people scoff when I tell them i can accurately shoot my 22 match rifles offhand at 200 Meters until they see it done . Cat |

I am decent offhand at 100m with a .22 and not bad out to 350m with some sort of rest or position. But at 1000 I'm not gonna just walk up and punch in a solution on my Kestrel and get hits. It just isn't happening. |
