Anti-peeve thread. What made you happy today?
 

Ok, since Oko seemed to be pretty disappointed about another rant thread, I figured let's create a happiness thread and share what made you happy today! :)

I will start again.

My three-year-old didn't cry in the morning before going to the daycare for the very first time. She hates the idea of going and cries every single time prior but sort of enjoys being there. Three-year-olds, go figure. But I am keeping my fingers crossed the non-crying trend continues.

I saw my 2-year-old granddaughter this morning and got at least 3 hugs.:acigar:

I don't see her all that often.

Walked into a liquor store today and no one said "Good morning". Instantly put me in a good mood.

A doe and her fawn meandered through my yard as I sat on my deck having my morning coffee this morning... Always a nice start to the day!

It will not be 30 degrees plus today. Woohoo!! Yay!!!

When I logged on to AO General Discussion this morning, only a very small percentage of the first page threads were political click-bait. Go Mods!

Better half and I went to Bruno Mars at Rogers. Wow, what a performer. I sat down for about two songs, and that is so not me. Whole building stood and danced most of the night. Guy seemed super happy to put 110% into his show. Cost a lot. Worth it.

Saturday - had a BBQ with my 4 kids in one place, priceless


Today - Bought a lawn tractor for the new place and I think I got a good deal. :)

Played mini golf with the grandchildren, 2 boys 6 & 8 they had a blast I just tried to keep up.

Got rained out from work. Got to go home and have a nap. :)

New windshield in the truck today.

I have a couple of weeks of vacation coming up, and I'm starting to make some plans for a "stay-cation".... local fishing and camping, maybe a couple of trips to my shooting club, etc. Daydreaming sure beats work.

My daughter started her hunter training course today.

And she told me "I love you, Daddy!"

I'm a happy daddy. :)

My boss wasn't in the office today, woo hoo! I'll actually get something done besides answering his incessant questions.

I'm happy that it wasn't 30C outside today.

My wife went "antique" shopping with her girlfriend. She didn't bring home anything. Why? because she says she already has one. :sign0176:

I woke up. Always starts my day off on a positive note.

Had a Doctors appointment this afternoon and some test results showed a problem I have is slowly getting better.

Wind finally died down at Spoke and the Springs are biting
Boat blew a seal and the Volvo dealer had the part in stock.

Saw the latest polling numbers... United Conservatives seem to be faring well....:fighting0030:

We got some rain last night.

When I checked my water barrels this morning, 5 of 6 were full.

I took my daughter's and wife to the Calgary zoo today and had a great time. Had to laugh at my two year old who spent all day sitting in her stroller reading the map instead of looking at the animals.kids.

I'm going up in the Panther area on Thursday to check on gas compressor. Panther gas plant, Hunter Valley and Burnt Timber. My spin cast and fly rods are already in the truck for the trip home when work is done. :)

Three of my best friends texted me within an hour

One is in AZ then she is headed to Disney
One has a new boyfriend I get to meet tonight
One says she will be in town Friday

Awesome! Gotta love it when good things happen to friends

My daughter turned 16 today.

My wife and youngest son came back from a few days at the cottage.

Rain seemed to usher in some slightly cooler weather about an hour ago. Woke up today to 23C temps and tons of humidity. Been a sauna all day...slightly nicer tonight. :)

Sitting reading the AO forum with an iced latte from Tim Horton's....daydreaming about gophers. :)

Well, I have the whole week off, so missus and I hopped in the Little Black car yesterday, drove down to Edmonton and stayed in a real gem of an Hotel downtown on Jasper, (the Union Bank Inn, fantastic service, Madison Grill is awesome!) spent time with our daughter, then continued on to Lethbridge. Got 1000 km on from GP and not a single rock in my windshield!!:sHa_shakeshout: great day! Car running like a top, and on the way to Logan's Pass tomorrow for first time in 30 years. Yup, I'm happy.:)

My 18 year old daughter, who just graduated high school this year was just hired today for an administrative assistant. There were 400 applicants!!!

Company is Eagle Builders in Blackfalds.

Got lots accomplished at work, and it wasn't blistering hot.
Worked around a fun crew of guys today too.

Today is my birthday
