If you can’t laugh after a” near miss”, “ near catastrophe “, near death”
When can you laugh? Humour/ Laughter is the best medicine. If people are laughing and telling jokes shortly afterwards it’s a good thing. No sense in getting all upset about it. Were people scared? Yes, A natural reaction in the face of impending death. Could someone have killed themselves, in the fear and the chaos that followed. Perhaps. But if that was what they truly believed, was occurring, and didn’t want to burn to death, die of radiation or by any other means than by their own hand, then what is wrong with that? I’d rather die by my own hand if that was a choice. Better than at the hands of whoever launched the missles . |
The problem is that people no longer are capable of empathy. Just think about how it would fell to believe you were going to shortly die. The only people that should be laughing, are those that went through it.

If you don't think people will ever make fun of a mistake...geesh. You can have your feelings. You can dictate to others how to react. As for jokes...my point is... Again. Don't watch late night TV talk shows. |
