DIY portable shooting bench
So lately i have been getting tired of having to shoot off bipods or bags when out shooting gophers so i decided to make a lightweight portable shooting bench and here it is.

I plan on cutting some grooves to lean guns against it as well as some thin carpet to keep stray brass from rolling off. Here it is in the field. http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/...ps89c9a3aa.jpg http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/...psc611544c.jpg Its not amazing on unstable ground but once flat it makes a great bench. |
With a bit of cutting and welding, could you modify one set of 'legs' so that you end up with a 3-footed table?
|
You also need to cut some slot/cuts so that when you put your riles on ground, they have a snug fit at the barrel and the guns won't fall down.
I am having a hangover so I don't know if my English is undesttanble or not. |
Looks like a good set up.Maybe add a cushion to the chair, and a cup holder to the table..

...a keyboard drawer underneath?

Yea a cupholder is a good idea i might do that when i cut the grooves for the other 2 rifles |
I find a large cooler works well as a table as well..

I agree with the leg mod. If the rear set only had 1 foot it would be way easier to make stable on uneven ground. Of coarse the other option would be to make the legs adjustable.
