Fish-killer 03-15-2012 11:18 PM

How big?

brohymn2 03-15-2012 11:28 PM

the 340, 10' 6"

Fish-killer 03-15-2012 11:44 PM

I would put a 9.9HP and call it a day! That is a very nice inflatable rig!

Would be perfect for fishing!

brohymn2 03-15-2012 11:46 PM

i got a 55 lbs thrust electric that will be powering it for now

Fish-killer 03-15-2012 11:47 PM

I have an inflatable and also the 55lb minnkota.... works perfect! I recommend 2 battarrys in serial! 3 days worth of life!

brohymn2 03-15-2012 11:50 PM

cool thanks for the advice, what size and make is your inflatable?

Do you mean 2- 6volt batteries wired in series to give a 12 volt output rather then 2-12 volt batts in parrallel for a 12 volt output or are there 24 volt minnkotas?

anyone have experience with these boats?

coyotezh 03-16-2012 08:24 AM

My seaman 320 (10.5ft) just came in yesterday.:sHa_shakeshout: I watched many video oN YouTube. Looks like a 30lb trolling motor will do really great job as well.

Now I am thinking to install a rod holder... How and where to install it?

brohymn2 03-16-2012 08:32 AM

yeah im pretty pumped for mine, 55 lbs used to push my aluminum 14 ft boat which was pretty heavy due to a live well and carpetted floors and what not so im thinking i should get some good zip with this. planning on taking er on the nsr for some sturgeon

brohymn2 03-16-2012 08:38 AM

seems noone has experience with these boats tho, gonna have to do a review after i get some use in

Nickote316 03-16-2012 10:24 AM

On my intex mariner 4 I have the 30lb minn kota and it works perfectly

brohymn2 03-16-2012 11:47 AM

Fish-killer 03-20-2012 12:40 PM

I have tooken my boat down the bow yes! also had the trolling motor on... but never used it unless I wanted to get to shore... this of coarse was out side city limits!

Shabbadoo 03-20-2012 12:58 PM

brohymn2: those transom wheels are gigantic. Is your boat 11ft?

I've ordered a 9ft inflatable from salter which should be here first thing next week. I didn't get transom wheels but hoping to get a buddy to custom build me a pair of them for cheap.

i am getting an inflatable soon as well.
would you mind telling me where you got the wheels & how much.??
you can p.m. if you like

appreciate it.

thanks

orv.

brohymn2 03-20-2012 01:53 PM

boat is 10.5 feet, ya i thought the wheels were smaller and had a bit of a shock when i picked it up this morning

coyotezh 03-20-2012 07:59 PM

congrats! You installed the wheel by yourself or the seller did? Looks like the seller installed for you.

Now I am thinking to install some rod holder on the inflatable. But still haven't got any good idea yet. Let me know your idea when possible.

Billie showed me his idea. But looks a little too heavy rig for me....

brohymn2 03-20-2012 08:42 PM

what was his idea? the guy at the dealership told me he has guys glueing rod holders to the tubes with pvc glue, was thinking bout doing that with the fish finder transducer so i didnt have to drill into the transom

brohymn2 03-20-2012 08:43 PM

the dealer installed it

Jack&7 03-20-2012 08:50 PM

My inflatable is the same size and I have the exact same wheels...you will love them. Very handy.

brohymn2 03-20-2012 09:24 PM

ya i cant wait for the open water season
