Cheap Snow Pants

I'm having a helluva time trying to find some cheap snowpants. I have expensive Goretex stuff for the hill (pants and jacket cost almost $1000), but I want some really cheap insulated & waterproof ones for ice fishing.

I went to Walmart - they had some for $15, but all they had left was 3XL

I've checked CT - their cheapest ones start around $40. More than I want to pay for something that will get fish guts, poop, and hooks stuck in it.

Had a quick look in A&N a few weeks ago - nothing there.

Any suggestions?

Cosco has some great lined pants. They aren't 100% waterproof but they are warm and comfy. Cheap enough to get fish poop on them all day long!

Peavey Mart will be worth the drive I got a pair of Work King bib overall type lined pants on sale for $50 the other day, they have all their outdoor wear on sale right now

Photo, Last year I bought a pair of black RAINPANT bibs on sale for $75 at Marks Work Warehouse. They're made with that ripstop gortex type material and are pretty tough. They aren't lined but I wear fleece, etc underneath and they are really nice and warm. Double zippers up both sides of the legs so you can throw them on over your jeans and boots when you get to where you're going. These are what I'm wearing now when I go out sledding.

They are the unlined version of these:

helly's are pretty pricey...but go try them on at marks..if a medium fits....they will be next to the buddy heater ....in the secret spot..lol

Try U.F.A was in there yesterday and they had some good bibs for about $120.00

chubbdarter 02-09-2011 02:40 PM

stay away from canvas/denim type material....if fish stains bother you....and they suck up water bad...your knees will be blocks of ice no matter how much water proofing you spray on them
