voere rifles
opinions anyone, i handled a used voere rifle (not sure of model) in 30-06 and it was the smoothest action i have ever felt in my life. i didn't like the look but it felt great. anyone know of them or their quality/accuracy/reputation.
price was $800 with leupold bases and rings and was in decent to pretty good shape |
I've had a Voere Kufstein (I think thats right) for about 35 years, in 7mm. Been a great gun for me.

voere
the voere is avery high quality rifle, built by the same people who operated the Kleingunther plant in Seiguin texas. These were one of the first firearms manufactureers to guarantee a 1/2" group out of their k-15 actions. The voere rifles are also very accurate, and getting hard to find.If it is in good cond. the price isn't too far off.

Lot's of Voere's were built on 98 actions as well, but if it is as smooth as you say it is, then it is definately a Kleingunther action.

Personal opinion I think they are a sweet rifle My hunting buddies Voere Shikar is very accurate in the 300 Win Mag Iam less impressed with the Titan modles but have shot the Kufstien in a 270 very nice very classy!

There was one Voere company in Germany, and one in Austria.
The German company built the Kliengunther actioned rifles, then sold out to Mauser. The Austrian company apparantly is still in business IIRC. A friend has several of them ,none with the 98 actions. great rifles..... Cat |
The rifles were made by Voere in Vohrenbach, Germany prior to 1986, when the company sold the arms line to Mauserwerk. Mauser originally marketed the rifle as a Mauser 225 for one year, later changing it to a Mauser 99. They were factory guaranteed to put 5 shots into a 5 mark coin at 100m. Kleinguenther imported the barrels and actions into the U.S. from Voere to build his custom rifles. I had read that the barrels were made of stellite rather than steel, resulting in their superior accuracy. They were imported into Canada by Ruko. If you can get your hands on one, grab it - you will be more than pleasantly surprised with quality of manufacture of the rifle and its accuracy!! Smoothest operating & tightest fitting action that I have seen in a bolt action rifle.

Voere Rifles
I have a Voere Shikar made in 1967 in .270win. It's the best rifle I own, and I have Tikka's, Win's, Rem's and an old Lee-Enfield LEC1 made in 1896. The Voere likes 150 grain ammo and shoots .5 inch at 100 yards. Even with the cheapest factory ammo it still shoots 1" groups. I would'nt sell it for anything. I bought 3 boxes of 150 grain Winchester ammo for $6.99 a box in Spokane WA, and with a rest all 3 shots touch each other. Pretty good for 100 yards. My Dad back in the late 70s wanted to sell the rifle for $200 with a Weaver K4 and nobody wanted it. Nobody wanted a German made rifle. Dad gave me the rifle after I came home with a Mule deer when I was 18 or 19. I don't know who was prouder, him or me. I have seen both the German made Voere's and Austrian made ones and the German ones feel and shoot much better.

VOERE Black Forest
I have a voere black forest model 7000 300 win mag. I can not seem to find any listing of this gun anywhere. Anybody know any thing about this gun?
|
My dad and i both have a voere titan 2 .these guns are incredibly accurate for hunting rifles both under .5 moa.they both started as 300 weatherby's and now have 27 and 28 inch gillard barrel's on them chambered in 300rum.They also have very smooth actions. With the bolt open and all the way back you can tilt the front of the gun a few degrees down and the bolt will slide closed.

Found a Voere supplier
It looks like this thread is quite old, but if anyone is looking for Voere rifle parts, Williams Arms in Port Perry, Ontario has been of great help to me lately for my Voere Laufstahl 3 in .22LR.
