I just received this from my sister:

Sounds pretty close to me.

I would agree, although over the last few years (5 to 7), it seems to me the actual breeding has been later, maybe from around the 20th on. But that could just be the area I hunt (west and north of Edmonton).

I would say that was about as close as any :D

Using the above guide, when is the best time for rattling. I was thinking of trying it on my northern whitey trip from the 15th to the 30th of november. Any thoughts?

Sounds about the rite time to be rattling mule... A person can start anytime now but the peak should be around the time you are going to be there...

I would say the best rattling times are just prior and just post the peak breeding time as this is when there is the most competition between bucks for the few does that are actually in heat. During the peak breeding period there are loads of available does and the bucks are definitely more lovers than fighters if at all possible. |
looks just as good as anything else I've ever read. I would say that the week after the full moon in October is pretty "slow", but come Remembrance day weekend....lookout.
