Minnkota issues
 

Anyone ever had any problems with their minnkota's? I have a 10 year old Terova 80lb ipilot that is acting up. I've done the youtube fixes... cleaned the brushes ect. It works again but the new 10 speed is the old 6 speed. Power and GPS and all the bells still work just not getting the same power. There is also more vibration and noise. I've given it an alignment but not with much success.

I'm thinking of buying a new motor and bearings. Has anyone been here before? any success replacing the motor with a replacement Minnkota? Could a guy source a local motor or a rebuilt and try it?

Any input would be appreciated. Trying all the cheaper fixes first. Thanks

Check with Auto Marine they are the designated repair shop in Calgary for Minn Kota. They may have a rebuilt in stock.
