Fraser River - Sturgeon Hunters

Hi all, looking at booking a Sturgeon trip with these guys in the next few weeks. Anyone fished with them? We have fished the Fraser about 10 times but with it being last minute, spots are tough to come by with the outfitters we have used in the past.

Thank you for any feedback.

Was fishing the Fraser a week or two ago and went with sturgeon slayers. Was with Kevin (head guide) and was exceptional. Had several fish a day and size ranged from 30” to 8’2”. Definitely think he’s the guy to go with because it can’t get any better. He knows every nook and cranny of the river for all water conditions. When running 4 rods he could even predict which rod will get the next hit over 50% of the time, so it wasn’t fluke. Its clear he knows that river ridiculously well so I doubt anyone could know it better.

Sturgeon Hunters or Sturgeon Slayers? I haven't heard of Sturgeon Hunters. But Slayers is a solid outfit with a good rep.

Yep, Kevin is great! We have fished with him several times but his schedule and ours don’t work for this trip.

Seems measurements screwed up. Was 30 inches up to 8 foot 2 inches. I definitely think Kevin is the guy you’re looking for though.

Well can’t say. Kevin is very specific for where to go, based off of the flow, and what bait to use based off of the time of year. He is also protective over his prized honey holes with the greatest chance at the bigger fish. Therefore all I can say is location was on bottom, and bait was what he put on the hook. I definitely think if you go with him you won’t be disappointed.

Thats why you pay for a guide ,

Don't have to pay for one if you know what your doing and can pick up a few tips. It aint rocket science to catch a white sturgeon on the Fraser. You guys live here so whats the big deal you give out a few tips ?:argue2:
