Rainy Ridge Gold
Well after pouring over old posts, air photos and google earth we took a shot at finding the Rainy Ridge trail head and the time and effort paid off as we found the trail head within about 10m of where I guestimated.
We hiked in and stayed a couple nights, the fishing and weather were good the first afternoon and went down hill from there. We did manage to catch some though, mostly on flies but a buddy did take his spin rod for a go round. http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/x...psifsxytvt.png http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/x...pspynju4ez.png http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/x...psuyjkkwl6.jpg http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/x...psvxuys452.jpg http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/x...pswgkeylik.jpg http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps3bsms8f0.jpg http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/x...psxkadqa5m.jpg http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/x...psgu3529ml.jpg |

Some gorgeous Goldens; thanks for posting. One of these years I need to check out Alberta's southern golden lakes.

I have been there a few times as a kid with my parents. Last time being probably 20 years ago. Fishing was excellent back then and even caught a few close to the record. Never been back as an adult because of tales of terrible over fishing. Maybe it is time to head back there again. Thank you for sharing pictures brings back good memories.
