SILO DEMOLITION old school style
Either this guys haz BIG KAHOONAS ...or NO BRAINS...I'm thinking the latter.
BTW...there's a few four letter adjectives, nouns and prepositions:sHa_sarcasticlol: http://biertijd.com/mediaplayer/?itemid=38970 |
.
I would vote; "NO BRAINS". The guy with the sledge is very lucky to be alive! I've only seen a silo taken down once, so I'm no expert. After weakening the structure, they used long ropes and a tractor to pull it down from a distance. It was just as exciting, but no one's life was put at risk. TF |
Safety fourth!

Being a carpenter I do love it when I get to pick up a sledge and start dismantling things, there is just something so satisfying about deconstruction. That however, takes the fun a little bit too far I must say. My vote goes to the no brains theory.

As soon as i started watching i thought hitting it there will bring it down on you. Those guys were lucky for sure.

I'd go with the tractor and rope method, for sure!!:thinking-006:

Guess who's back, Caber?
|
Welcome back Tree, you arrived just in time! :thinking-006:
I can read enough of the shirt to confirm through Google that this fellow is wearing a shirt from McLellan Tree Service in Farmington, Ct. Not saying he works there or anything, but he's certainly out spreading the word! I was gonna guess Fargo, North Dakota by the one fellows accent  Being hollow, that thing sure didn't fall like a tree like I was expecting! |
That makes my pushing big rocks off and down mountains look pretty lame. Wow that was insane!
|
Can't fix stupid! But nature sometimes teaches 'em a lesson!
