Fishhunter 3d review after winter use
 

Guys wondering about the relatively new FishHunter 3d directional before you buy one. This is my little review on using it this winter. I didn't use the 3d stuff as I think that is mostly valuable in open water. I was on ice mode with flasher style screen. Was impressed with the WiFi speed nearly real time. Only downside I felt was smallest depth range was 20 meters and I usually fish shallow. Check it out before you buy one of these portable castle devices. Pretty powerful little unit though. My phone usually would go dead before it in the cold.

Have you used it much in the summer? I find it to be finicky to keep it connected when I cast it or troll it. I use an iPhone and I wonder if the wifi doesn't work as well.

I bought one last week and I am awaiting its arrival. it is taking a week longer then expected due to UPS (thanks Canada Post). But once I get some use I will post a small review on it to here.

I've dragged it around the backyard pond a bit and casted it around but didn't have any problem losing signal. I haven't used it seriously in open water though.
