Young Angler Tourney at Travers Sunday??
 

So I guess there is a young angler tournament at Travers this Sunday, was planning on going down in the afternoon. But how busy is it when this tourney is going on? Has anyone been there? I understand 9-3 and I likely won't get there before 3 anyway...but don't want it to be so crazy busy either.

I fished there during the SAWT tourney this year and it was not too bad at all. It does get a little crowded at the regular spots, but a guy like you - who knows how to get them in the boat - will have a great time, despite the crowds. The only thing that got on my nerves was the boat launch, that can be a mess. Other than that, def worth the trip. I will be there on Sunday as well, look for us in a green jetboat with a green canopy.
We'll be the ones bringing in the BIG WALTERS!

Yeah...when isn't the boat launch busy there though....always is. Maybe I'll launch at the resort. If our friend is around we can use his pass to get the boat in.

I've been at the youth angler tourney the past 2 years & that weekend the boat launch is a gong show. Saw people waiting over an hour to load their boat. Thankfully I was staying at the campground & didn't have to deal with it. If you are able to launch at the resort do it. Good luck.
