Pine lake 2011
 

Hey there...wondering if anyone has being to pine lake in the new year...from what I heard the fishing was slow earlier in the year...just wondering if it's worth my Saturday to give it a shot.

we were there last Sun. for the derby and it was brutally slow only a small perch. Seen one pike on the camera and 0 walleye. Not worth it IMO.

Thanks I have heard it's really slow...supposed to be nice Saturday so I might just as well go thin out the coyote population

It will pick up later in March.

If memory servs there were all of three fish registered at the derby. none before noon.

No shortage of shrimp though.

We did pretty well the weekend before the derby landing 9 pike and a walleye. Of the 9 pike only 3 made legal length and not by much . In the derby we only caught 2 pike , 1 undersize and the other one which won biggest at 5lbs 3oz . A big difference from the week before but it should pick up as we get into march.
