Fulton fold away trailer tongue

Has anyone installed one of these before? Do you have notify your insurance company or anything I should know of? |
They come stock on lots of newer trailers. They are a strong or stronger than the channel they are attached to if they are installed correctly. I have never thought of advising the insurance company.

Installing one myself. Thanks
|
Installed one 7 years ago. Works great. No problems. Lots of new trailers have them so I figured they were ok.

Where in Edmonton can I find one?
|
I put mine on myself as the dealer forgot to order my EZ-Loader with one. Not difficult, just remember the wiring is inside the tube so if you don't want to sever it pull it out or cut part way through, lift the wires and finish. Iirc, they included a center punch and hex bit in the kit.
Should mention too you will need to lengthen your safety chains for the new set-up. Quote:

I've had one on my boat trailer for a couple of years works great. Makes the unit just short enough to park in a regular parking spot with it folded but is nice and long to make backing up easier and shallow launches better when in use. Mine is about 4 ft longer when unfolded.

Mayhem Thanks for the Info.

I might know the answer, but can one of these be put on a trailer with hydraulic brakes?
