For some reason, people keep saying the water is really dirty in most parts of the lake. Went there in Dec & watched my jig go up & down on my flasher for 5 hours w/o any fish present. I fished about 15 different holes. Always a tough lake, but I still love it. Too many good memories.

are they still commercial fishing keho?

I'm not sure if there still commercial fishing it but i feel angling pressure has hurt the lake. I stopped fishing there for the most part 3 years ago, i'd drive by and there would always be 10-15 cars parked along the lake and it seems i was the only one ever releasing fish. Its common to find fish dead due to pickeral rigs (try to eat the minnow, break line and hook tangles in gills). The only decent fishing i've had in about the past 5 yrs was for lake whites at the inlet. Pike are still around but small average size compared to neighboring lakes and i hate fishing along side with big crowds of people. Just one guys observations and opinions but i have heard the same story from many people. Theres still okay fishing to be had and the odd 30lber but theres so many better places to go now. Used to be a lot of fun in the mid-to late 1990's.

i havent been down there in probably 4 or 5 years...it was always one trip a year for me and always had some luck with the pike. i was just curious because you used to always here of one big pike coming from there every year...but not this year.

Yup, they still commercial fish Keho. They did this fall '06.

well if they are still commercial fishing it...all the angler pressure that the lake will face is not gonna compare to the nets....
