Flies for Late Season Trout?

My go to for the late season has always been some sort or leech pattern but this year I'm lucky to even get a nibble every 4 hours. The pond has a ton of orange or pink minnows in it this year so Ive tried tying a few different minnow patterns in those colors as well but no results.

What are some other patterns that might give me some success this late before ice up?

Maybe a gold fish pattern lol how about a autumn wooly bugger they are the colour of the minnows you can see.

You really can't go wrong with the old Pumpkin head this time of year.

Marabou micro leeches.
You'll know when you have the right colored bead/body/ribbing combo.
Can't give it all up.

i have always had good luck in the fall with large dragonfly nymph patterns

Had decent success the last few days on black and red leeches

Have had success with various balanced leeches, #10 or 12 hooks:

gold bead head, maroon polar chenille body, black marabou tail with a few strands of pearl flashabou

gold bead head, black polar chenille body, black marabou tail with a few
strands of blue pearl flashabou

hot orange bead head, chartreuse marabou tail and body, with a few strands
of gold pearl flashabou in the tail

Micro leech (#10 or 12 short shank) with white bead head and black marabou body and tail can be good.

Fish the shallower water and not to deep, maybe more important than colour choice?

I've used a black bunny leach for more years then I care to talk about as my fall go to pattern. I also use a wine & black micro leach under an indicator to.
