This shot is only two of three steering columns I've restored & did a cable delete on. U-Joints from Flaming River & 3/4" cold rolled steel bar.

New instrument panel.Heater & radio delete plates.

Not finished yet. Have to get the new GPS speedo then I can sand / paint.
The two small upper red lights are from an old truck !
Same for the lower green ones.
Likely had them for 30+ years !
Glass is prism like a spiders eyes.
Dash is ready to go to the radiator shop for an acid dip & POR 15 coat, paint etc.

For 302w engines I have two of the C90X 9424 B intakes, from the old Ford Performance program.
They flow better than any new / modern equivalent.

Also been working on moving the engine back farther.
This is just a mock up engine & not the one that will be in it. Sort of the same though. 302w. I have a "normal" aluminum bell on it right now & cannot get the engine back as far as I want with it. Need to get a Quicktime bell number 6065 to bolt up to a T-5. https://www.holley.com/products/driv.../parts/RM-6065
Lots of head scratching to do a V8 in these little cars...
It will have a front engine plate & I'll make my own cross over Headers for this one.
More fire wall to cut, but not till I get the new bell housing.

Not a Boss 302, but an original 1968 Ford 289 that powered my Mercury. I detailed the Engine in place as it has never been out of the car in 50 years. 289 was used until June of 68 then switched to 302 in these cars for the remainder of the year.

Nice ! I have always loved the 289. Took years to slowly change over to the 302s.

My first BOSS 302 engine was picked up for $200.00 !

People would have a stroke if I told the price on the one I have now... :sHa_sarcasticlol:

Always wanted a 289 HiPo. But with them being so rare (and expensive now) I'd be afraid to pound on it like I'd want to.
