Huge Kudos to the community of Cold Lake

I haven't seen much mention of how the community of Cold Lake rallied to repaint and replace the windows of the mosque in Cold Lake after it was vandalized.

Huge Kudos to the community of Cold Lake

This was featured on one of the Edmonton tv newscasts this past weekend.

Sooner 10-28-2014 04:12 PM

It got about 2 days coverage from what I seen. Nice to see the community kick in.

Bushmaster 10-28-2014 04:18 PM

I think I saw it on CNN.

Things like this probably do more damage to the terrorist agenda than anything. (I'll put away my daisy now) :)

(I still support bombing terrorists into the stone age though)

Arachnodisiac 10-28-2014 04:58 PM

That is amazing.

I have been travelling, and I saw the bad part of the news story, but not the good part, which I will soon share the hell out of on Facebook.

Very touching, and makes me so proud to be Canadian.

:)

Geezle 10-28-2014 05:04 PM

Very cool to see :)

moosehead7 10-28-2014 05:46 PM

Wow you know I was just waiting for this to be posted, but for all those people who pitched in an helped clean up the mess, and all the people who say good job did they take the time to mail a sympthany card to the fallen fella who just got shot, did they take the time to say sorry to the family around him!??? I bet you not which in my op is very dispicable

What a nice gesture.

The people of Cold Lake are so kind like the rest of us Albertans.

You assume much.

What does one directly have to do with the other?

Do you not think that if we knew that showing up with buckets of soapy water and sponges would bring him back, we would?

I don't think you understand what happened here, but I really wish you could, because it would make your heart glad.

moosehead7 10-28-2014 06:23 PM

When are you guys gonna quick sucking the enemies bums it's alright for
Us to get picked off one by one, but we better not discriminate, my family line fought in wars, for our freedom!! Did they!?? That's the problem with this country were all soft on the others but don't stand by our own,

From the bit I saw of his friends on TV (probable middle eastern fellow) talking about him, their is a good possibility that he would have been the first guy out there cleaning up the idiot's graffiti.

Before you go to war with the "enemy" you better figure out who the enemy is.

I will feed the troll. I am a Muslim and I did volunteer cleaning a church when I lived in Halifax and replaced a broken window when it was broken.

And would do the same with any religion. Doesn't matter. In the end we are all human. Who cares what color gender race or even who you pray or don't pray for.

Number one role is do onto others as you would want done to you. And love your neighbor. If a religion doesn't preach that then it is not a religion.

I have to agree, whether you agree with the vandalism or not, the idiots that murdered two Canadian soldiers were instructed on the finer points of islam somewhere in this country.

Stick your political correctness up your azz ......... treat these cowards with the same respect they have shown us.... none
