84 enticer

Looking at picking up an 84 enticer long track.
Any common issues to look for?
Is it worth to run mix gas and avoid the injection?
I think it should be a good little rig to put around and check sets with.

I had an '86
Pretty good machine. The 340 is fairly straightforward.I asked my Yamaha mechanic friend about the injection and he said don't change anything as those things are usually trouble free.
One piece of advice
Carry spare plugs
Mine was hard on them

If you mix gas, you'll never crater the motor due to oil injection pump not functioning, or are thy gravity? I don't know, I'm ignorant!

Had a friend in Butte, MT tell me he had two friends who blew motors cuz thy got oil starved. He had one and always mixed his fuel.

Then there's some guy up north named McQuate or something. I remember him saying the same thing, some govt outfit or something wrecking motors cuz the oil quit pumping.

I have one, an 89 400 TR, I didn't pay much for it, and am lazy, so I never mixed fuel, never had a problem. Anyone looking for an old 400 TR? For some reason I don't want it anymore!
